California and New Jersey

It’s nice to know that even though we’re on the other side of the country, New Jersey is being compared to California.

With our new governor, Chris Christie (what were his parents thinking when naming him???) taking office, there’s a new chief of staff. And he’s the former mayor of our town!!! That means the local paper has first dibs on interviewing him.

His name is Richard Bagger, and Mr. Bagger says our great Garden State is “rapidly working its way” to becoming one of the five most finanically distressed states in the nation. Woo hoo!

Then he cites California as a “cautionary tale” for the governor, saying “California is the result of the path we’re on, and our time is growing less and less to change course.”

Mark and I are so glad we escaped the financial crisis that is California, to be on the eight ball heading the same direction.
