Moving to New Jersey, 9/11 took on a new meaning. 13 men in our town and the neighboring one, died in the towers. One used to own our home. He and his wife lived here less than two years – she was pregnant with their first child, who is pretty close to Dori’s age. This time of year, I think of them and can’t imagine how hard it must have been for his wife and family to mourn his loss.
A package came yesterday for the wife. Unfortunately I don’t know where she lives now, but the timing was eerie.
Our town has a memorial to 9/11 downtown and Dori and I went over there today to pay our respects and leave rocks on the individual memorials.
