Best landscaped town – and my pepper

Our town, Westfield, just won the America in Bloom contest – meaning we were awarded the honor of being the best-landscaped town of 25,000-50,000 people.

And the reason I mention this, is just as an excuse to show you my red pepper – that actually grew from a (purchased) plant in my garden. It’s the first one grown here, though there are several new babies forming. Not that it’s October or anything – and this one took all summer plus Sept/Oct to grow.  So don’t be expecting me to hand over one to you any time soon.

  1. End of article says Westfield may enter the international competition. Take that Slovenia!

  2. Congrats! I bet it was the best salad you ever had
