Police Blotter

Gems from recent crime blotters in our local paper. All emphases are mine.

“An officer responded to an indoor tennis center on a report of a stolen motor vehicle…the victim stated that he parked his vehicle unlocked, with the keys under the driver’s seat, at 8 p.m., and when he returned at 9:30 p.m, his vehicle, described as a 2007, green BMW 328X, was missing. A second victim reported that he parked his 2009 beige Mercedes Benz C30 and left it unlocked with the keys in the pouch of the driver’s side door at 8 p.m., and when he returned at 9:30 p.m., his vehicle was missing. According to police, the second victim reported that his wallet, containing approximately $800 in cash, and his cell phone, were left in the vehicle.”

—-Another one – hopefully one we won’t have to report when Dori turns 17.

“a resident reported that he let his daughter use his motor vehicle, and that she is refusing to return it, even after he requested that she do so.”

—and another one:

“…(suspect) was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after an officer on routine patrol observed (suspect) allegedly urinating on a motor vehicle parked in a municipal lot. According to police, when the office confronted him, (suspect) yelled obscenities and stated that it was his vehicle and that he could urinate wherever he wanted. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and released.” ¬†Hopefully they allowed him to use the restroom at the police station.

—and more bizarre reportings

“…a resident reported that someone put a wig in his tailpipe, which caught fire when he started his vehicle. According to police, a similar wig was placed in his tailpipe several weeks ago, but the victim did not report it.”
