Fall mums

I don’t remember mums being a big deal (or a thing at all) in California or Arizona in the fall. Was I not paying attention or is it just a thing for  “four season” areas?

Come fall, big arrangements start appearing on doorsteps, around trees, planted in the ground. They’re yet another opportunity for fundraising (along with the infamous 50/50 and tricky tray).

That said, they look fabulous – cheery, hearty and festive.

  1. I think the mums are supposed to come back the follwing year if you plant them, although I have never had mine return. YOu might want to check with your garden center as I could be doing something wrong.
